myHunar is a homegrown marketplace built for the talented hands and passionate hearts of Northeast India. We are a platform where home-based entrepreneurs, mothers, artisans, bakers, weavers, and makers of all kinds, can share their craft with the world and earn a dignified livelihood from the comfort of their homes.
We are not just an e-commerce platform. We are a community, a movement, and a celebration of the extraordinary skills that have always existed in every corner of our region. Our goal is to provide exposure to the skills that deserve to be seen, valued and rewarded.Our story
myHunar was born in the heart of Assam, in the small but vibrant town of Duliajan. Like many great ideas, it started with a simple observation that our neighbourhoods are full of incredibly talented people: a woman who makes the most beautiful handwoven gamosas, a mother whose homemade pickles and laddoos everyone craves, a young artist whose handcrafted jewellery deserves a stage far beyond her locality.
Yet these talents had no organised platform. No easy way to reach buyers. No dignified path to financial independence.
Hunar was created to change that.
The word Hunar (हुनर) means skill and that is exactly what we honour. Every product on this platform carries someone’s dedication, creativity, and love. When you buy from myHunar, you are not just purchasing a product. You are supporting a dream.
What We Believe
We believe that talent has no address. A home kitchen in Dibrugarh can produce something more beautiful and more meaningful than any factory floor.
We believe in women’s economic empowerment. A large number of our sellers are women running micro-enterprises from their homes. Every sale on myHunar puts money directly in their hands and that changes families, not just bank balances.
We believe in the Northeast. Our region is rich in culture, craft, and creativity. myHunar exists to bring that richness to every doorstep across India and beyond.
